Rhodes: Medieval charm and unique beaches

☛  It is a classic destination, the capital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The medieval city is built around the main port. It was founded in 408 BC. and consists of the fortified medieval city and the new city with neoclassical and newer buildings. Dominating the Palace of the Grand Master from the 14th century, "Kastelo", one of the first buildings built by the knights, while a walk is required on the famous Knights' Street, which has been faithfully restored to its medieval form. Outside the city walls extends the new city, which is dominated by impressive buildings built during the Italian occupation. Lovers of history visit the famous Acropolis of Lindos and the village of Lindos in the Cycladic style. The northern half of the island is the most developed tourist, here are most of the hotels, including multiple all-inclusive options.
